Will is an associate in the firms Municipal & Land Use Planning and Litigation practice groups. Will joined the firm after completing his Articles with a boutique litigation firm in Toronto.

Will has appeared before various courts and tribunals, including at all levels of Court in Ontario and before the Ontario Municipal Board, Environmental Review Tribunal, Conservation Review Board, and the Assessment Review Board.

In his Municipal & Land Use Planning practice, Will works with both private and public sector clients with their legal issues and questions as they relate to Municipal law and land use planning issues and can assist with appeals to the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB); Official Plans, zoning by-laws, and site plan approvals and agreements; Renewable Energy, environmental matters and Species at Risk (SAR); the drafting, defence and challenge of by-laws; the prosecution and defence of offences under the Planning Act; interpretation of Municipal legislation; taxation issues under the Assessment Act; and all manner of advice to municipalities, developers, owners and objectors as it relates to planning and development matters.

In his Litigation practice, Will works primarily in the areas of civil/commercial litigation and employment law. Will’s civil and commercial practice focuses primarily on matters relating to municipal and property issues.  Will represents both employers and employees in navigating the complex issues surrounding employment law, termination, and workplace policy.

Will earned his law degree at the University of Windsor, where he took particular interest in Land Planning and Development issues through his work with the Faculty of Law Environmental Law Clinic. During law school Will spent a semester studying International and European Law at the University of Mannheim in Germany.

Outside his practice, Will enjoys travel, golf and skiing, and all the outdoor activities Simcoe County has to offer. He also volunteers his time with the Rotaract Club of South Georgian Bay and Guys that Give.
