Riley was born and raised in Barrie, Ontario. After being drafted to the OHL and a subsequent junior hockey career, Riley attended Laurentian University where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Law and Justice. Riley then went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor. During law school, Riley was involved in both the Windsor Law Golf Association and was a member of the Windsor Law Hockey Team.
Riley’s practice is focused on most areas of civil litigation, including commercial litigation, property litigation, employment law, disputes related to real property, small claims court, landlord and tenant disputes, contract claims and more. Riley’s clients range from family-owned businesses to large companies, municipal governments and individuals. Riley prides himself on working with his clients to find a cost-effective and practical solution and has advocacy experience before various levels of court in Ontario.
Riley sits on the board of directors for the Simcoe County Law Association and also serves as their Treasurer. When he is not in the office, Riley is active in the community, is an avid sports fan, enjoys being with his dog, playing hockey and trying to get as many rounds of golf in per year as he can.
