Marriage Contracts & Cohabitation Agreements

Marriage Contracts and Cohabitation Agreements are legally binding contracts between parties that can deal with any of the financial aspects of a relationship but cannot address any parenting or decision-making issues.

A Cohabitation Agreement is entered into by parties who are cohabiting or intend to cohabit with one another. In accordance with the Family Law Act, a Cohabitation Agreement will become a marriage contract in the event the parties marry unless the parties agree otherwise. A Marriage Contract is executed in contemplation of marriage or once the parties have already married.
