Michael Hanton is a Partner with HGR Graham Partners LLP, having joined the firm in 2022 and been admitted to the partnership in 2026. He practices primarily out of the firm’s Barrie and Orillia offices and regularly assists clients throughout Simcoe County, Muskoka, and York Region. Michael is happy to meet clients virtually or in person at any of the firm’s offices.
Michael brings a strong local perspective to his practice and is proud to serve the community that he grew up in and continues to call home. His areas of focus include Residential Real Estate and Wills and Estate Administration, where he has developed a reputation for providing practical advice and responsive, client-focused service.
Michael advises clients on a wide range of residential real estate matters, including resale and new-build purchases, sales, mortgages, and refinances for both lenders and borrowers. His Wills and Estates practice includes the preparation of Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Trusts; as well as assisting Estate Trustees and beneficiaries with all aspects of Estate Administration.
Michael holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Niagara University in Niagara Falls, New York, where he was also a member of the university’s NCAA Division I men’s soccer team. He earned his Honours LL.B. from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom.
When not in the office, Michael enjoys travelling, camping, playing soccer and golf (poorly), skiing, and supporting his beloved Celtic FC.
